Are you waiting to be happy?
Are you “waiting” to be happy? How many years do you think you need to wait?
How many books do you need to read? Courses do you need to take?
I invite you to consider my advice… Don’t wait to be happy! I discovered, as I wrote my book, that waiting does not work. Neither does procrastinating and hoping that things will”turn out” when circumstances change.
Here’s what I know. You CAN create happiness in your life… Happiness for No Reason. Not because you have money, not because you have the perfect relationship, not because you’re healthy. YOU can be happy for NO REASON.
And I can promise you that changing your happiness set point IS the way to do that.
Some of you already know by reading Happy for No Reason, that books can show you the way—can point you in the direction.
AND, even more, my newly launched, One on One Happy for No Reason Coaching Program can actually take you by the hand and support you to make it happen.
That’s why I am so excited to be sharing this One on One Coaching Program with you right now.

The Happy for No Reason Coaching Program can help you transform those areas in your life where you are stuck and where you can’t see happiness as possible. Believe me, I am so excited about being able to offer this new opportunity to everyone!

Is 6 gold medals enough?

A few weeks ago I attended a seminar at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. There were a number of amazing speakers there, including Olympic superstar, Michael Phelps–the swimmer who won an unprecedented eight gold medals last year!
Michael talked about a lot of things, but the story that stood out for me was about his coach. Michael said that after swimming six events and winning gold medals in every one, he just didn’t think he had anything left. Now, that would certainly have been no disgrace. After all, six gold medals is nothing to sneeze at right?
Michael’s coach was NOT buying it. No way! He was clear about what Michael had said he wanted going into those Olympics—eight gold medals. AND his coach was committed to the same thing, so he wasn’t willing to let him just “get by” with six. Michael said it was his coach who insisted that Michael COULD do what he said he wanted to do, and he was there to support Michael in achieving his dreams. And so he did.
It made me realize how much formal and informal coaches have contributed to my success and happiness in life. Over the last 30 years, they’ve helped me go beyond my own limitations to live the life I know is possible in my heart.
I’ve had success coaches who’ve helped me accomplish my career goals. But, more importantly, I’ve had personal life coaches who’ve kept me going for what I’ve really wanted most: Happiness. They’re the ones who’ve helped me raise my happiness set-point.
I don’t have eight gold medals to show it—but I do have the happiness inside that I’d been looking for.
This is why I decided to create a Happy for No Reason coaching program. People often say to me that they’re “sort of happy” most of the time. Well, that’s not what we’re here for. That’s like winning six gold medals when you can have eight.
We’re here to be happy for no reason. I’ve seen how coaching can make the difference between being somewhat happy some of the time to experiencing deep and lasting happiness.
Over the next few weeks, try out these 3 coaching tips:
1. Make a conscious effort to let go of any defensiveness and be open to feedback from others. Often they can see what you can’t.
2. Find someone in your life you respect, and ask them to tell you the one most important thing they would coach YOU to do to be happier. Follow through on their advice.
3. 3. If you see something in another person you think they should change, look to your own life and see if that’s something you need to change as well.
Trying these can give you a taste of the breakthroughs that coaching can bring, so you can get your eight gold medals in happiness.
Happily, Marci
